Michael Galvis has served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sable/NYTEX since 2008. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Francis Drilling Fluids, Ltd. (FDF) from 2010 when NYTEX purchased FDF for $53.8MM until it was sold for $62.5MM in May of 2012. FDF is a diversified oilfield service provider, and the largest water-based drilling fluids and frac proppant logistics provider in the U.S, which under NYTEX’s ownership, increased its annual sales from $67MM to $85MM. Under its recent name change, Sable is now an early-stage public E&P company on the OTC with a presence in the Fort Worth Basin and expanding operations into the Permian Basin. Prior to these positions, Mr. Galvis served as President of NYTEX Petroleum, LLC, the predecessor to NYTEX Petroleum, Inc. since it was founded in 2006 to manage diversified portfolios of oil and gas investments. From 1994 through February 2006 Mr. Galvis was co-founder and principal partner in PetroQuest Exploration, Inc., a privately held E&P company engaged in the acquisition, drilling and development of oil & gas reserves in several of the lower 48 states. In 1987, Mr. Galvis co-founded HGH Energy, Inc., which acquired, operated and developed over 200 oil and gas wells purchased from Mobil Oil, Amoco, Enserch, Texaco and several independents. A graduate of UT Austin, Mr. Galvis began his career with a Dallas based independent operating company in 1983. There he led the capital formation to drill 29 Granite Wash gas wells in the Texas Panhandle, co-managed the drilling and completions of the wells and was appointed Vice President of Operations. Learning operations from the downhole up, Mr. Galvis has gained thirty years of experience in prospect generation, drilling, completions and production operations, acquisitions and divestitures, capital formation through industry and Reg D partnerships and has participated in over 160 onshore and offshore oil and gas wells in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Mississippi, Wyoming, Illinois, North Dakota, and New Mexico. Throughout his career, Mr. Galvis has also provided consulting and advisory services to numerous independent E&P companies. Mr. Galvis is a member of AAPL and IPAA.
Bill Brehmer has served as a director since 2008. Mr. Brehmer acted as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of the company from 2008 through 2010. Mr. Brehmer has over 34 years of diversified experience in the oil and gas industry in the areas of compliance and contract administration, including natural gas marketing, natural gas processing, natural gas liquids marketing, business planning, financial modeling, funding and implementation of oil and gas drilling projects, drafting and evaluating oil and gas leases, title and joint operating agreements. From 2004, through 2008, Mr. Brehmer was project manager for portfolio acquisitions of oil and gas properties and drilling development prospects. He performed pre-acquisition analytics and post-acquisition contract administration for NYTEX Petroleum, LLC. and PetroQuest Exploration, Inc., a private E&P company engaged in the acquisition and development of oil and natural gas reserves in the U.S. From 2000, through 2004, Mr. Brehmer was President of Petro-Frac Corporation, focused on the acquisition and development of Austin Chalk and Pecan Gap oil reserves in east Texas. From 1993 through 1999 Mr. Brehmer marketed and sold fuel distribution technology and networks to downstream petroleum distributors. From 1987 to 1993 VP of Marketing for HGH Energy, co-developing and marketing oil and gas properties and prospects. From 1985 to 1987 Mr. Brehmer was an natural gas liquids trader. From 1980 to 1985, Mr. Brehmer worked for Petro-Lewis Corp starting in contract administration, and advanced to Assistant Manager of Hydrocarbon Marketing. He was also responsible for all natural gas processing agreements, representing 6,000 BPD of production, and was in charge of all gas contracts for the Southwest region of the United States. Mr. Brehmer also conducted revenue audits of third party operated gas processing plants and performed due diligence on acquisitions involving natural gas liquids production. Mr. Brehmer graduated from the University of South Dakota with a BS in Business Administration
James D. Parker
Chief Accounting Officer
James D. (JD) Parker was appointed Senior Controller of the Company effective August 4, 2014. Prior to joining Sable, Mr. Parker worked as a Consultant for Magnum Hunter Resources Corporation and other energy industry companies since 2012. From 2008 to 2012 he served as Assistant Controller for TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd., an international oil and natural gas company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas in Turkey and Bulgaria. From 2000 to 2008 he was a Consultant for Key Energy Services, Inc. and other energy industry companies. From 1999 to 2000 he served as Controller for Waste Recovery, Inc. a Dallas based recycling company. From 1995 to 1999 he was Regional Controller for US Filter Corporation, where he worked on the acquisition and integration of several water filtration and distribution companies. From 1991 to 1995 he was VP – Operations for First American Bank managing and divesting a large portfolio of real estate properties. Mr. Parker started his career with Ernst & Young in 1987 through 1991 and worked in their audit practice, with energy and banking industry clients. He has extensive experience with SEC reporting, Sarbanes – Oxley compliance and systems conversions. Mr. Parker received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
Jonathan Rich has served as a director since November 2010. Mr. Rich was appointed as director per the terms of the Series A Preferred Stock of the Company (See the discussion on National Securities in Transactions With Related Persons below). Mr. Rich has been the Executive Vice President and Head of Investment Banking of National Securities Corporation, a full-service investment banking firm, since July 2008. Mr. Rich had been the Executive Vice President and Director of Investment Banking of vFinance Investments, Inc. since July 2005, and assumed his current position with National Securities when vFinance was acquired by National Securities in July 2008. Mr. Rich had previously served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Corporate Finance at First Colonial Financial Group since January 2001. First Colonial Financial was, in turn, acquired by vFinance in July 2005. Mr. Rich graduated from Tulane University with an interdisciplinary major in economics, political science, history and philosophy and received a joint J.D. / M.B.A. degree from Fordham University with a concentration in corporate finance.
